Job Title: Supply Chain Intern

Summary: The supply chain intern will assist with the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and order MRO supplies and Kanban items as assigned. This includes forecasting, safety stock levels, reorder points as well as end-to-end PO coordination, maintenance and follow-up.
- Update Master Part Pricing module as needed to ensure accurate pricing is updated in the system in a timely basis.
- Participate in various meetings as needed including but not limited to daily production meetings and weekly supply chain team meetings.
- Communicate in a timely manner any issues and/or potential supply chain risks.
- Run and analyze various reports as assigned to include but not limited to inventory, pricing, delivery, scrap, spend, commodity and freight reports.
- Upload inbound shipment pack slips daily to ensure updated digital receipt records.
- Participate in annual physical inventory and/or periodic cycle counts as needed.
- Provide support to various departments such as quality, production and engineering as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Assist with research, qualification and sourcing of new products and projects as assigned.
- Assist in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) as needed.
- Conduct TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis as projects and research requires.
- Conduct Supply Chain research to assess risk and opportunity.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
- Stock received items as required based on assigned SKU’s.
- Participate in supply chain strategy discussions.

Job Specifications:
- Pursuing completion of a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or a relevant field. Prefer students who have completed their junior year. Will consider incoming juniors.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier interactions.
- Must conduct self in a professional manner, with tact and business etiquette.
- Willingness to learn, listen to feedback and ask questions.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Commitment to the internship duration and an interest in pursuing a career in purchasing.
